Who I am and how I started
I’m Katrina, founder of PNW Farmhouse Design Co. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and currently reside among the farms and mountains of beautiful Whatcom County, WA. I live with my husband, two sons, and a couple of rambunctious dogs in a home overlooking majestic Mount Baker and just a hop skip and a jump to the Pacific Ocean (San Juan Islands). We also have two adult daughters who visit often and who love to help me create fun new pieces with a youthful flair.
I started PNW Farmhouse Design Co. in 2012 as a way to use my Cricut to make a little bit of side income for our family. Eventually, I was able to leave my job in healthcare and dedicate myself to working full-time from home, doing what I love. I also added a laser cutter and a CNC machine to my studio, enabling me to add even more variety and creativity to my designs.
In my spare time, I love to cook, take care of my home and family, and travel. I have a passion for decorating and am currently expanding my business to provide accessories and inspiration for weddings, commercial spaces, and corporate events.
One of the things I’m most looking forward to this year is collaborating with different companies to showcase their products and tools in my designs.
